Thursby Surgery has two practices within the Burnley area providing a wide range of medical and well-being services.
Due to the upcoming re-opening of the Danehouse Practice in Burnley, Alert Fire & Security Ltd were requested to review the existing systems within the Surgery with the main aim of having one service provider to look after all of their Fire, Security & Compliance requirements.
Upon review it was found that the existing systems were capable of being taken over and expanded, whilst the installation of a CCTV system was required for the health & safety of staff and patients.
As such. the existing intruder and fire alarm systems were taken over by Alert (which were previously serviced by another local provider) and expanded accordingly, with dual path monitoring added to further protect the surgery out of hours as per insurance requirements.
In addition, Alert Fire & Security Ltd now annually service the Fire Extinguishers throughout site, and a Fire Risk Assessment has been conducted to ensure the Surgery meets the legal requirements of a public building (under The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005).
Following the completion of the works Practice Manager, Rebecca Lord said
“I would just like to pass on my thanks to your engineer Steve for these past two days. He’s gone above and beyond and has really worked hard to get everything done for us before Monday before the Surgery was opened to the public”
