HR manager Rob Coar explains: “We have a clear security need and wanted to find a company that could not only deliver on quality and price, but was also keen to build a long-term relationship.


“With Alert we have found precisely that and we are very confident that our security arrangements – both now and in the future – lie in the safest of hands.”

Millercare, which started off in Oswaldtwistle and now has branches in Leyland, Blackpool, Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Preston, Stockport, Warrington, Wigan and a Service Department in Church, have previously had a relationship with Alert.


“Some years ago they installed the alarm at our headquarters at Oswaldtwistle, but we were unable to extend the partnership to other branches due to various commitments,” said Rob.


“However, as the leases expired we have since moved Warrington, Pendlebury, Bolton and Stockport across to Alert and all twelve sites will fall under their control by the end of this year.


“Essentially, they supply us with a full intruder package, but we are now talking with them about the possible implementation of HD CCTV across the sites.”

The company offers customers a comprehensive 365 days a year service back-up from manufacturer-trained service technicians (field and in-house).

“Our reputation goes before us and we only want to work with people of a similar ilk,” added Rob. “That is why we have chosen Alert.


“Gavin Pennington (Alert sales manager) has been fantastic for us, from the first meeting through to a full audit of all branches, he has given us great advice and support. It has never been a case of ‘the alarms you have need replacing, you need to start afresh with our products’ – just sound, honest, professional guidance.


“I must give mention to the Alert engineers too; they have been prompt, efficient and very tidy – other contractors have even remarked on the way they operate, which is a great reflection on the company.”
