Burnley FC In The Community Charity Network and Family Walk

We are delighted to support our local charity Burnley FC In The Community by creating the ‘Pace Up Pendle’ event.

Friends of Burnley FC in the Community logoAs an official ‘Friend of’ Burnley FC In The Community, we recognise the fantastic work they commit to supporting our local diverse community with a huge array of activities, support initiatives and inclusion programmes.

Not only have we committed to supporting Burnley FC In The Community as a ‘Friend Of’ we’ve decided to literally take it one step further and are delighted to have teamed up with local Business Network group SHOUT Network to create the Pace up Pendle Network event.

Lindsey Robinson, Account and Marketing Manager at Alert Fire and Security said “We couldn’t wait to show our support to Ryan Bradley and his team at Burnley FC In The Community. This is the second year we have donated as a ‘Friend of’.”

“I meet Ryan every fortnight at the SHOUT Network Burnley group. Every time he brings a new inspiring story about how volunteers or funding has been able to help an individual or group of people in need”.

“The team work really hard to source the required funds to provide for others, so I just wanted to do something extra to help donate in some way”.

Pace Up Pendle NetWalk

“We’ve created an event called ‘Pace up Pendle’ on September 22nd that will combine a leisurely walk for people in business and their families. We’ve loads of business people from the SHOUT Network group that are going to be joining us or donating to the cause on the day. We’ve already collected £300 in sponsorship!”

Lindsey continued “Anyone can join in. We will be starting from Barley Car Park (where people can buy breakfast sandwiches) at 9:30am and the walk will be led by Matt Hargreaves from Whitehough Outdoor Activity Centre (a Burnley FC In The Community initiative). It will be at a really easy pace up and down Pendle Hill and children can join us as well as pet dogs.”

“We hope for good weather and I’m sure we’ll all enjoy a refreshing drink when we get to the pub at the bottom”.

“We would love as many people as possible to support us for this great cause. You can either join us on the walk, download a sponsorship form and collect for us, or just sponsor us by donating via text or Just Giving.”

How anyone you can support us…
